Norland Tourist Information Office. The region of Norland, in Sweden, is a popular tourist destination throughout the year.

Challenge:

The Tourist Information Office had two objectives: (1) stimulate sales to tourists coming to Norland; and (2) generate statistics on the number of visitors, where they are from and the duration of their stay.

Result:

The Tourist Information Office, for a price and after the visitor completes a questionnaire, offers two different cards printed by the Eltron P300F. The first is the simple passport card entitling the holder to discounts for hotels, restaurants, camp sites, TransPortation, etc. The second VIP passport card is more expensive, but offers larger reductions and special services.

Often kept as souvenirs, the cards project a positive and dynamic image of the tourist organization in Norland. It is also a constant reminder to the local merchants of the advantages of membership in the discount program.
